Lisa Leff

Lisa Moses Leff is Professor of History at American University and Director of the Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Her research focuses on the history of Jews in France since the Revolution. She is the author of Sacred Bonds of Solidarity: The Rise of Jewish Internationalism in Nineteenth Century France, Colonialism and the Jews, and The Archive Thief: the Man Who Salvaged French Jewish History in the Wake of the Holocaust, for which she won the 2016 Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature.

She lives in Washington DC, USA, with her husband and two sons. Lisa was a guest at Limmud Oz Melbourne in 2016.
