Ann Drillich is a doctor who lectures medical students at Monash University, Melbourne and is Project co-ordinator for the Tarnów Yizkor Book Project. For years, Ann has battled the Polish Government, City of Tarnów and Polish Catholic Church for restitution of property stolen during the Communist era. This year a Polish court confirmed the Catholic Church acted in “bad faith’ and as a result she owns a Church in Tarnów, Poland. In 2013 Ann won back her mother’s house, renamed the Wedding Palace in Tarnów. The City finally acquired it through adverse possession in 2015. Ann continues to fight other cases. She is working on her memoir.
