About Limmud Oz

Limmud Oz is Australia's annual Festival of Jewish learning and culture. It began in 1999 and is now hosted alternately by the Sydney and Melbourne Jewish communities.

This year Melbourne will host its 4th Limmud Oz on the Queen's Birthday weekend, 12 - 14 June 2010 at Monash University Caulfield Campus.

International scholars, religious leaders, and literary and political experts offer a range of sessions. In addition, workshops , discussion groups and lectures are offered by local and interstate presenters.

Limmud Oz is inclusive and offers a range of Jewish experiences. The presenters, outstanding educators and speakers who are unique experts in their fields vary considerably. Diversity of opinion is encouraged; topics for discussion must have a Jewish thread but participants from other cultures and other religions are invited to attend to ensure the greatest diversity of opinion and discussion possible.

Join us again this year and let Limmud Oz take you one step further on your own Jewish journey.
